I fell asleep during this scene, right after his hand starts making its way towards her unsuspecting head, to tuck the wayward hair behind her ears. She looks up and he moves his hand away. She never catches on and tucks her hair behind her ear on her own.
And, oh god, I don’t want to start Before Sunrise again. What if it’s sad? They leave each other, somehow! This I am almost sure! Because next on my Netflix Instant is Before Sunset.
This scene is a fucking killer, man. Straight up MSNBC primetime special murders your heart. The entire time she is talking, his face follows hers. Her eyes cast downward toward her lap and he bends a bit, just a bit, to keep it in eyesight. He moves in when she moves in, moves in when she moves out. Her smooth, pale face is like a lure he’s unconsciously following.
Julie Delpy is an eternal fox, by the way.

My job is the best because I just sat and watched Before Sunrise and Before Sunset one right after another while I keyed in data. Killing two birds with one stone: doing my job AND getting my heart and ovaries punched in by these movies.
Julie Delphy is totally an eternal fox. I agree. Go watch 2 Days in Paris.
